Bring a cup of coffee and gather in the Family Room to learn more about LBC LifeGroups.
Where can you meet with like-minded people to review the stresses of the day, rejoice in the beauty of life, or draw near to the heart of God? All these things can be accomplished in a LifeGroup.
LifeGroups are small groups of people who share the desire to experience greater growth in their spiritual life – they want to become more like Jesus. LifeGroups are organized in many different ways, but the aim for every group is to be relational and missional. Relational by cultivating community and spiritual friendships through the lens of bible study and prayer. Missional by intentionally seeking to reach out to others to encourage their lifewalk.
Our LifeGroups are organized into the following types:
Intro Groups-groups that are a “starting point” for people who are just curious about LifeGroups or people who want to “try out” a LifeGroup
Season of Life-groups made up of people in the same general moment in life. We have defined the different Seasons of Life as 20somethings (single), Young Couples, 30somethings (single), Singles 40+, Young Families, Families of Elementary, Families of Adolescents, Empty Nest, and Senior Life.
Intergenerational-groups made up of a combination of the different Seasons of Life.
Common Interest-groups organized around a common passion. Examples could be volleyball, movie lovers, fantasy baseball, reading, motor cross, nature lovers, fishing, camping, etc.
Support/Recovery-groups offered by LBC with a focus on Support/Recovery. Examples of these groups could be Celebrate Recovery, DivorceCare, addictions, etc.
Ministry Area/Service Teams-groups that grow naturally out of involvement in a ministry area or a service area in the church. Examples could be Worship Arts, media, Children’s Ministries, Titus Women, Men’s Fraternity, etc.
Community Impact-groups organized around service opportunities in our community. Examples of these types of groups could be City Impact, People’s City Mission, schools, community organizations, sports leagues, businesses, etc.
Men’s Groups-groups that consist of men only
